Orne Brocaar is a freelance Python / Django (web) application developer, specialized in developing high-performance, modular and scalable (web) applications and websites. He has experience with working on large-scale (SCRUM) projects and is a Certified ScrumMaster.

2011 - 2012

From the beginning of September 2011 until the beginning of April 2012, Orne Brocaar worked temporarily on location in London for Glasses Direct. Together with their technical team, he is responsible for the development of a new multi-brand e-commerce platform. Currently, Orne Brocaar is hired by Spil Games.

2011

Orne is hired by Lukkien to help add new functionalities to the Allerhande website. After this project, he is re-hired by Lukkien for the development of the (back-end part of the) TWSteel website. In the beginning of September, he is hired by GlassesDirect and moves temporarily to London.

2009 - 2010

Orne is hired by Lukkien to help building the back-end / CMS for the online version of the Allerhande magazine. After finishing this project, he was also hired to develop the back-end / CMS for Bison International and some product websites. By the end of 2010 Orne went, together with a group of Dutch entrepreneurs, for a couple of weeks to Brazil to visit several new-media companies in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

2008 - 2009

After his graduation, Orne decides to travel first, before starting to work fulltime. Directly after his graduation, he went for a couple of weeks to Indonesia. In Yogyakarta he worked as a volunteer on two projects; a micro-credit project and an project with handicapped people. /At the beginning of 2009 he went to South-America for seven months. He lived in Rio de Janeiro for five months and worked as a volunteer with streetchildren and on an educationproject in one of Rio’s favelas (slums). The remaining two months Orne traveled through Brazil and Venezuela.

2004 - 2008

Orne studies Media & Entertainment Management at the CHN, Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. During his studies, he worked on different projects, mainly for friends and family. A hobby-project for the band Evanescence yielded him a project for SonyBMG. In 2008 Orne graduated as “best student of the year”.
